K bye

Fri Dec 11, 2009, 3:59 AM
Uh.... Okay.... Where to start.

First order of business.... I just got into a band.

Second order of business.... This is a really serious band. Everyone involved, has been up to this point, a mildly successful one-man-operation of their own. So it's kinda like 3 seriously ultra-talented people.... for now. Hopefully like 6. We got a manager, we got a producer. And the producer works for free. But he's a pro. Working on getting this drummer who has been drumming since she was 5 years old... she's 27 and claims drums are her life.... HM. I ZEE PROMIZING TINGS IN ZIS ONE MR. KORSCHEHOFF....

Third order of business.... I probably won't be logging on.... like.... at all. I got about two weeks before I pack my shit and get a hard job while trying to get money for gear, while we record in studios then rehearse to start doing gigs. These guys are AMAZING. Even though I'll probably get stuck doing fucking temp'ing or something, I'll probably love every minute of it in some strange sadistic way because at the end of the day it'll be one more day of music that people will hear and move to.

I'm the keyboardist. The band is called Candella.

Oh. No more artists of the week. No more critiques, no more anything. I've dropped all my projects. AURA, DoV, a different band, and someone had offered me some money to make him some backing tracks. Although the backing tracks... if I can still finish a track or two for him I'll send him some stuff... I need some road money.

...Now, the hard part is telling my parents, because they had already paid for a semester of college. >_< (Although I think it's still possible to drop the classes and take the money out. Something about payment blocks.)

If for some reason you're gonna have some kind of fucking heart attack from my dissapearance, which I don't really think will happen, given my incredibly-mild-at-best impact on things.... I've got a gmail. If I owe you money n shit, I don't want a lawsuit/pissed off person, so contact me so that we save alot of trouble - bgarnerappli@gmail.com

Some interesting nooz - I've got a couple friends working on a flash music player. We're gonna get this shit up and running if it kills us, you hear me?! Doing this because I know very well that no one actually clicks the link in my signature, xD.

An artist of the week. Just because I can.

A few days ago I was eying the New Deviations page for anything interesting, and damn if this isn't interesting: [link] . Now, what's so interesting about this, you ask? Well, first off it's a really freaking good piece, but that's not what I'm talking about. This is a girl, who has taken a huge amount of time out of her life to actually draw the OC's of her watchers.

Yeah. That's the cue to say, "Whoa." If THAT isn't 'interesting,' I don't know what is.

Her age is hidden, which is a pity - when I've got enough of these artists of the week things going, you'll notice the pattern of me picking young artists, because there's a spark to the art of someone young that I just don't see anywhere else. Still, that didn't stop her from getting my feature, now did it?

Here's some cool things I've found by her, check it out!

Even better news.

I really, REALLY overhauled it on my drawing final and I'm already halfway done. Seriously. It's a 24''x18'' monstrosity, so you can imagine it's just a little time consuming. This makes me VERY VERY happy in pants. :iconicameplz:

So at this rate I can do some unofficial critiques, which I will, for sure. For starters, [link] - cheering this guy on in his quest for realism n shit.

So any other day starts up again and I'm browsin' for the good stuff on deviantart. Lo and behold, I found some good stuff browsing through the Kick Your Own @ss entries. I went through a couple entires that I liked. They were pretty cool, you know, showing some genuine improvements to the artist's style, but then I came across this: [link] .

My first thought is, "Whoa. That's a pretty big improvement." And of course, my next motion is to look at the comments. The first one is what draws me to my current level of amazement: "So you're 15 now right?" "Yes"

.....WHAT?! SERIOUSLY?! 15 YEARS OLD, ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME. I honestly thought the two were joking, like, some kind of inside joke or something, or insert other method of denial that I could use. I goto the artist's page, and sure enough, it's a 15 year old girl! My next motion is to check out her gallery, which I do, with extreme interest...

These are some things that stuck out to me in her gallery. Check it out:

K, so, apparently the thanksgiving break has been extended. Since that means about an extra 48 hours, I'll drop by and leave little comments and smartass remarks when I feel like it. :D (Though I still don't have enough time to do any full-on unofficial critiques.)

Hollllyyyyy shiiiiiiiiiitttt. You know that chilling feeling you get when you're looking at the bank account and the numbers are ALOT smaller than the last time you checked? Yeah. Last time I checked I had over 200$. I have 74$ now.

X_______X

Need a job need a job need a job need a job need a job job job.

Note to ckirk: Still paying for the Lantern concepts the moment they're done, because if the first concept you've drawn is any indication, yeah, it's worth a quick 20 bucks.
